So how secure is it?
When you’re planning to buy something using your mobile phone, security is obviously a big concern. It’s the first question everybody asks us when we tell them about MoBank. “Sounds great. How secure is it?” The answer to that is easy, it’s extremely secure. And there are several reasons for that.
Right from the word go security is a priority for us. When you first join MoBank and register your card details you will be given a secure 4 digit PIN number, so that you never have to enter your card details again. You simply enter the PIN number every time you make a transaction. It’s very quick, very simple and above all very secure.
Whenever you use MoBank to buy something, we display the information from the merchant's website in a way that is easily understood, so that you feel comfortable making a transaction. No payment information is stored on the phone itself. The actual payment is submitted from the merchant's site and is protected by the merchant’s own security.
In fact none of your secure information, such as your PIN, account number or card number is stored on your phone. So there’s no need to worry, even if you lose your mobile. No one will be able to extract any of your information. You really do have nothing to lose!
Our PIN system adds an extra level of security. On the off chance that someone is looking over your shoulder when you enter your PIN number, they will not be able to see the buttons that you have pressed, making it virtually impossible for them to work out what numbers you are actually inputting into your phone. Clever stuff!
All of MoBank’s systems are at bank-grade security and compliant with Payment Card Industry standards and ISO27001 for Information Security Management.
